The Midnight Cry

As John the Baptist was the forerunner of the first coming of Christ so is the message of Brother William Branham, a forerunner of the second coming of Christ.

In St. Matthew, the 25th chapter, the 5th verse, Jesus said, “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.” and the 6th verse, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”

I believe we are living spiritually at the midnight hour. As John the Baptist was the voice of one crying in the wilderness bringing a message, so Brother Branham brought the message to the bride. But because the bridegroom tarried they begin to slumber and sleep. But at midnight someone will bring a message that will awake the sleeping virgins, that the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet him.

In the book “An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages” on page 356, titled “Christ Outside the Church”, Brother Branham said that Christ would be outside the church. We now go to church to meet the Lord, to worship him. But when this happens, I believe we will go out to meet him at the tent. A type of the tabernacle, where Jesus will be on the mercy seat in the most holy and Brother Branham will have a prayer line at the altar of incenses. As our church picture seems to indicate, Brother Branham says in the Seven Seals book that the third pull would be the angels.

In St. Matthew, the 13th chapter, verse 30 referring to the tares and the wheat Jesus said, “Let both grow together until the harvest: and a the atime of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” In verse 41, “The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.”
